Sindhi Ajrak Jewelry Box
Ajrak ( اجرڪ ) is a name given to a unique form of block print
shawls and tiles found in Sindh, Pakistan. Ajrak is also worn by the
Seraiki people of Southern Punjab and Kutch. These shawls display
special designs and patterns made using block printing by stamps.
Common colors used while making these patterns may include but are not
limited to blue, red, black and yellow. Over the years, ajraks have
become a symbol of the Sindhi culture and traditions.
Here I am going to learn you, how to make handmade jewelry box with
sindhi ajrak cloth piece.
You will need:
1. 8\8 square hard board box with lid
2. Sindhi ajrak cloth piece in maroon,blue print
3. u.h.u glue tube
4. Round shape mirrors no.3 and no.2
5. Shells
6. Scissor

Method:
1: first of all, measure the box and then cut cloth piece according to box size.
2: paste the cloth piece around the box and lid with u.h.u glue and let it dry.
3:Now paste the round mirror on the center of lid and forth sides of
box with glue, then paste small sized mirrors on lid ,similarly on the
forth side of box.

4: paste shells around the centered round mirror sequencly and let them dry.


Finally your handmade ajrak traditional jewelry box is ready for your jewelry.
